How to Subscribe to the ITA-L Mailing List
The ITA-L Mailing List provides an electronic forum for members of the TESOL ITA Interest Section as well as other people involved in the field to share information and ideas about the training of International Teaching Assistants.
Here's how to get on/off the ITA-L list.
Once you're a member, please explore the web archives where you will find messages back to 1999, and also a nice web interface for managing your subscription, and doing things like suspending receipt to your mail account, or changing your email address.
The web interface gives you full access to the list and its archives, without cluttering your email box! The URL is http://lists.ufl.edu/archives/ita-l.html You can even store the password in a "cookie" and make the link one of your bookmarks/favorites.

Subscribe/Unsubscribe
Click on to (un)Subscribe to the ITA Mailing List. or simply send an email to listserv@lists.ufl.edu
In the mail window which appears, the "Mail To" and "From" addresses will be inserted automatically. The "From" address is the one by which you will be subscribed and from which you must post messages to the list. Leave the subject field blank.
In the body of the message type
subscribe ITA-L firstname lastname
substituting your own first and last names. Then select "Send" to send the message.
After your subscription is approved, you will receive a notification message from listserv@lists.ufl.edu and one from the listserv. The best way to manage your subscription is via the web interface.
To remove yourself from the list, send the command
signoff ita-l
to listserv@lists.ufl.edu.
Remember, COMMANDS such as SUBSCRIBE, UNSUBSCRIBE, and HELP should be sent to listserv@lists.ufl.edu The subject field is ignored. (If prompted for a subject, just click "OK".)
MESSAGES should be sent to the list at ita-l@lists.ufl.edu
